I was amazed when I first went into a store to check one out and the sales associate picked it up and threw it on the floor to show me that the Waterproof Digital Camera was also Shock Proof. Since that time over 3 years ago, many manufacturers have followed Olympus’ lead and have come out with cameras of their own, while Olympus has continued to improve on their Waterproof and Shockproof Digital Cameras. The latest Olympus Camera now touts being Crush-proof, supporting 220 pounds (less than the weight of your car tire rolling over it.) We’ve broken down the features to make buying easy:

Stylus Tough-8000 Digital Camera
The new line of cameras for Olympus called “Tough”. They tout being crush proof up to 220 pounds. In reality, they aren’t crush proof at all because you can crush them with 220 pounds which could come from someone stepping on it or it getting run over or crushed in a door, the same things that would typically crush any other camera. They have good intentions, and you can’t afford to make cameras with tungsten cases so what Olympus has got is impressive for now. Another great breakthrough is the the ability to tap different sides of the camera to make it function, allowing you to keep on your gloves while operating it.
