Aerial Photography

Typically, aerial photographs are taken
from an aircraft or helicopter.  Helicopters tend to offer much more stability and
manueverability - plus - you can remove the door for even more freedom of movement.
However, choppers are quite costly so prepare carefully before the flight.

NOTE: 60 years ago Frank Lloyd Wright designed The Monona Terrace Center and that project was delayed by
politicians looking for headlines, etc.  Then Madison’s new"hippie-mayor"
Paul Soglin took office and pushed the project to completion.   Since I had met Mr.

Let’s take a look at a basic package of equipment
required for a typical news or on-location assignment.

A Black Sharpie Marker (for labelling film,etc) with some plumber’s tape wrapped around it.
